Default Folder X 4.3.7 | Mac OS X | 10.3 MBDefault Folder X attaches a toolbar to the right side of the Open and Save dialogs in any OS X-native application. The toolbar gives you fast access to various folders and commands. You just click on the buttons to go to your favorite and recently used folders, manage the folders and files shown in the list, and make changes to your settings.
Default Folder also fixes a number of problems in Open and Save dialogs, "rebounding" back to the last selected file, putting the path listing back in the top menu, and correcting bugs in scrolling column views.
WHAT'S NEWVersion 4.3.7:
* You can now drag and drop folders to the Favorite Folders list and applications to the Default Folders list in System Preferences.
* When clicking the "Remove Folder" or "Remove Application" button in the preference pane, holding down the Option key skips the "Are you sure?" warning.
* Double-clicking in the Favorite Folders and Default Folders lists will now prompt you to change the entry that you're double-clicking on.
* Default Folder X now supports the AppleScript commands GetCurrentFolder and GetCurrentSelection. These return the current folder and current selection when a file dialog is open.
* Default Folder X's toolbar menus would sometimes stop working after you viewed a full-screen preview of a file. This has been fixed.
* Fixed a compatibility problem with Filemaker Pro 11. Click-to-copy was not working in Save dialogs.
* Corrected a problem in which OpenMeta tags, Spotlight comments and Finder labels were not properly added to files saved in Word 2008.
* Default Folder X now explicitly clears its previews to white before drawing them so that transparent images draw on a white background.
* When a file dialog is closed, Default Folder X stops trying to generate a preview image if it's still working on one.
* Compatibility with MacPyMOL and Apimac's Compress Files has been fixed.
* The Get Info dialog now formats dates correctly for all locales.
* If your preferences specified that Default Folder X shouldn't show its icon in the Dock, it would pop itself to the background while the update checking dialogs were displayed. This has been fixed.
