Roxette are a Swedish pop music duo, consisting of Marie Fredriksson (vocals) and Per Gessle (vocals and guitar). Formed in 1986, the duo became an international act from the late 1980s, when they released their breakthrough album Look Sharp! while their third album Joyride became just as successful. Roxette went onto achieve nineteen UK Top 40 hits and several US Hot 100 hits, including four US number-ones with "The Look", "Listen to Your Heart", "It Must Have Been Love", and "Joyride". Other hits included "Dangerous", "Fading Like a Flower" and "Dressed for Success".

Titles these days are transitory; heroes come and go and stars rise and fall, such is the cut-throat pace of the entertainment and media industry. Over time, Alexis Korner’s celebrity may have slipped into the background, but that’s just the way he would have wanted it. For Alexis, music was everything, he lived and breathed it, and anything that came with it was merely trivial.

King moved to Gary, Indiana in the early 1950s, then to Chicago in 1953 where he cut his first single for Parrot Records, but it was only a minor regional success. He then went back to St. Louis in 1956 and formed a new band. During this period, he settled on using the Flying V as his primary guitar. He resumed recording in 1959 with his first minor hit, "I'm a Lonely Man," written by Little Milton, who was Bobbin Records A&R man, a fellow guitar hero, and responsible for King's signing with the label.
