Highlighting the diversity of what is considered "Gypsy" music, the Petrol Records compilation Greatest Songs Ever: Gypsyland is a collection of seven artists and 12 tracks, varying from the modern flamenco and drum kit-influenced Sarr-e-roma to the chorus of Klapa Cambi, the more traditional folksinger Zoran Predin (who leads the pack with three songs included), and the eclectic Karavan, whose "Pomagele" is a samba song (and whose other contribution, "Szйp Ez a Vilбg," is definitely Brazilian-inspired as well). It would be nice to hear some other voices (surely there are more than seven artists who have written the greatest Gypsy songs), but the album is not a bad sampler of what is at hand. ~ Marisa Brown
